Download arborTrail
A demonstration version of ArborTrail can be downloaded for free. The program has a number of functions disabled but will allow you to load and manipulate the demonstration tree listing with map. I recommend you download and try out the demo before purchasing ArborTrail.
The ArborTrail program requires the installation of the Microsoft .NET framework on your PDA. If your PDA has Windows 6 or later installed you should not need to install the .NET framework. On earlier versions you can find out whether the system is already installed by attempting to run ArborTrail or by looking on your PDA to see if it present. To do this, first select the Start button and then Settings; select the System tab and finally Remove Programs. DO NOT ACTUALLY REMOVE ANY PROGRAMS! Just look at the list to see if Microsoft .Net CF 2.0 is listed, if it is then the PDA has the correct framework installed for ArborTrail. Click the Ok button when finished but do not remove anything.
ArborTrail Release 2
Once ArborTrail is downloaded you need to transfer the CAB file to your PDA (using ActiveSync, Bluetooth or SD memory card) and then open the file from there (you can open it from within Mydocuments or even the SD card).
Remember, this program needs the .NET framework to be installed first on your PDA. If you already have an ArborTrail program installed on your PDA and are downloading a more recent version, then you must first remove the current version from your PDA by going to Settings/System/RemovePrograms. Your existing comments, names and preference files should remain intact and not be over written.
