As of today, ArborCAD and ArborShadow will no longer be upgraded and there will be no more releases of this software.
This also applies to the Plan Builder program and of course ArborTrail (which was blogged earlier this year).
The development software on which these programs were created is now dated and not ideally suited to the present and future windows releases including W8. Additionally, the actual code for ArborCAD v3.05 has, due to a number of reasons, become erased! This means I would need to redo the changes needed from V3.03.
Unfortunately, I can not justify the time required to bring these programs up to date so have decided to cease trying!
For these reasons the purchase cost of the software has been reduced but no longer includes free support. For ArborCAD there is no longer any upgrade option from SE or AE versions so these users need to purchase outright the R3 version.
Existing and future users of ArborCAD need to understand that since ArborCAD will not be updated it MAY NOT be compatible with future releases of AutoCAD from their 2013 version!
As for the future, ArborCAD is hopefully to be replaced by a completely new program which combines the features of both ArborTrail and ArborCAD and will run on Windows tablets or Desktops.
